
Dr. Fawzia Tarannum is a water governance and sustainability expert with a Ph.D. in Water Governance and a Fulbright Fellowship from Cornell University. With over 27 years of experience as a water resources consultant, she operates at the intersection of water management, climate resilience, and sustainability. Her expertise encompasses ESG reporting, decarbonization, and the water-energy-food nexus, demonstrating strong leadership in both industrial and community-based programmes. Dr. Tarannum advises corporates and non-profits on Integrated Water Management, Agriculture Practices, and Climate Tech, while also serving as the National Coordinator (Water) for The Climate Reality Project India and South Asia, where she drives impact through science-based, inclusive, and scalable sustainability roadmaps.

Dr. Sherly M A is an agricultural engineer with a Master’s degree in Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering from IIT Madras and a Ph.D. in Urban Flood Risk Mapping from the IITB-Monash Research Academy. With over 15 years of experience in academia, industry, and research, she has guided around 30 master’s theses and supervised two Ph.D. scholars. As a water resources consultant, Dr. Sherly has contributed as a geospatial modeler to water and flood risk assessment projects in India, the UK, New Zealand, and Indonesia. Proficient in HEC-HMS/RAS, CROPWAT, ArcGIS, QGIS, MATLAB, Python, and R, her interests encompass flood and drought modeling, disaster risk assessment, and the development of sustainability roadmaps that leverage digital tools for agricultural water management and optimization in water resources planning.
Ms. Niyati Mehrotra is a water resources consultant with a Master’s degree in Water Science and Governance and over a decade of experience in water-use efficiency, water neutrality and positivity, and conducting water audits across both industrial and domestic sectors. She specializes in developing policy-relevant, implementation-ready solutions that align with sustainability roadmaps, leading stakeholder engagement, and managing large-scale consulting engagements from inception to delivery. Her expertise encompasses industrial benchmarking, integrated water management frameworks, and digital tools for infrastructure resilience, with a strong emphasis on translating research into actionable strategies for governments, industries, and multilateral agencies, including ESG reporting initiatives.
